Why cans?
As a result of the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, attention is focused on how society can become more sustainable. COP 26 helped raise awareness of the benefits of recycling - a global initiative shown to reduce carbon emissions and where every individual can instantly play their part. However, it is still often overlooked for its ability to tackle climate change.
Here at Bradleys Juice, we have always strived to give as much attention to recycling as possible in our entire production process. All of our bottles, packaging and boxes are recyclable, and nothing goes to waste - even our pulp is sent to local farms to feed cattle.
But looking to the future, we want to do even more to help turn the tide on waste and play our part in the fight against climate change and move towards a more circular approach. And with that in mind, we made the decision to add canned drinks to our range.
Infinitely Recyclable
Over 80% of drink cans sold in the UK are made from aluminium. A benefit of using aluminium is that it is one of the few materials in the world that is infinitely recyclable without a loss of quality. Meaning each can sold can be recycled over and over again, saving energy, raw materials and waste.
All of our cans will carry the Metal Recycles Forever mark - a symbol that acts as a reminder to our customers to recycle our cans and marks our commitment to ensuring we consider recycling at every stage of our production process, and beyond.
Weighs less
Aluminium cans weigh less than glass and take up less space, which means less carbon emissions during the transportation process.
Reduces packaging
Taking up less space means using less packaging. This in turn means less waste in landfills, and less pollution of our air, water and soil.
However, it’s important to remember that using glass bottles has many benefits too, and so they will still be a part of the Bradleys Juice family going forwards.
